Yuval Hochstetter signs with German side Bamberg

Yuval Hochstetter has officially signed with German club Bamberg and will play in the Bundesliga next season, after the move was first reported by Sports Channel and then confirmed by the club. The 2025-26 date in the source is given as June 22, 15:23.

Hochstetter, a young forward and the Israeli league’s breakthrough player of the season, is taking his first step abroad after a rapid rise. His transfer was completed through his agent, Nadav Mor. Bamberg finished third in Germany’s top league last season and will also compete in next season’s FIBA Champions League.

Hochstetter was named the league’s breakthrough player after a standout campaign with Ironi Kiryat Ata. He progressed from the National League to a successful first season in the Israeli Premier League, drawing interest from several leading Israeli clubs before choosing Germany.

Kiryat Ata considered him one of the club’s biggest success stories in recent years, alongside Ben Saraf, who also won breakthrough player honors and later moved from the club to German side Ulm. In 25 regular-season games, Hochstetter averaged 18.6 minutes, 7.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists.
