Father and Son Arrested in Northern Israel for Stealing 16 Beehives
Israeli police have arrested a father and son, aged 66 and 36, in the village of Mushayrifa in Wadi Ara on suspicion of stealing 16 beehives. The thefts occurred from the communities of Ein Harod and Hagla in northern Israel.
The investigation began following reports of stolen beehives. During a covert investigation over recent weeks, police gathered evidence, including through technological means, against the suspects. The stolen beehives were subsequently located in the Megiddo Forest, with some being identified and confirmed as originating from Ein Harod and Hagla.
Following these findings, detectives, along with additional forces and in cooperation with the Honey Board and the Ministry of Agriculture's "Pitzuach" unit, raided the suspects' homes. The father and son were apprehended and taken for questioning regarding their alleged involvement in the theft. The 16 recovered beehives have been transferred to the Honey Board.
