El Al Pilot Shares Viral Video of Messy Cabin After Flight

A senior El Al pilot, Meidan Barr, formerly the chairman of the Pilots Association, has taken dramatic action to address the issue of passenger messiness on flights. Barr shared a video he filmed of the airplane cabin after a three-hour flight, showing trash and personal belongings left scattered around seats and on the floor.

"Why does the plane have to look like this at the end of a flight? It was only three hours. Why? I really can't understand," Barr stated in the video, which he posted to Instagram. The video quickly went viral, garnering approximately a quarter of a million views within a short period.

The incident echoes past controversies surrounding Israeli passenger behavior, including the infamous "chocolate flight" incident about a decade ago involving Israir, where passengers were filmed arguing with a flight attendant over the sale of a chocolate bar. This latest video reignites discussions about passenger conduct and respect for shared spaces and airline crews.

Reactions to Barr's video were mixed. Some commenters called for fines to be imposed on passengers who leave a mess, while others shared similar experiences of seeing aircraft in comparable states.
