El Al Pilot Slams Passengers for Leaving Plane in Disarray

An El Al pilot has publicly criticized passengers for leaving aircraft cabins in a state of extreme mess after flights, sharing a video that quickly went viral. Captain Meidan Bar, former chairman of the Pilots Association, posted footage on his Instagram account showing seats and floors littered with trash, including wrappers and snack bags, left behind by travelers.

"Why does a plane have to look like this? I really can't understand," Bar is heard saying in the video as he walks through the cabin. He expressed disbelief, noting the flight was only three hours long. The video garnered hundreds of thousands of views and sparked widespread discussion online.

Many commenters suggested imposing fines on passengers responsible for leaving excessive trash. However, some defended travelers, with one user stating that foreigners also behave this way, attributing the mess to upbringing rather than nationality. Another user shared a similar experience on a flight to Thailand, where the plane was even dirtier.

This incident echoes a similar situation reported two months prior by travel blogger Tali Cohen. After an El Al flight to Switzerland, she documented a plane strewn with plastic cups, duty-free bags, and food remnants, describing the scene as "sad" and "disgusting." Cohen noted that passengers were asked to disembark quickly, which may have contributed to the state of the cabin, though many were visibly upset by the mess.
