Alexis Sierna Signs Three-Year Deal with Beitar Jerusalem
Argentine midfielder Alexis Sierna has officially signed a three-year contract with Israeli Premier League club Beitar Jerusalem, joining from Colombian side Independiente Medellín. The 28-year-old's salary for his first season in Israel will be €265,000, increasing to €285,000 in his second year. Initially, Beitar proposed a loan deal with an option to buy, but Medellín insisted on a permanent transfer. Beitar's initial offer of $400,000 was rejected, with the final transfer fee settling at $550,000. Sierna, who stands at 1.70 meters, is described as an intense player capable of strong runs from midfield and contributing offensively. Last season, he made 25 appearances, scoring three goals and providing two assists. This move marks Sierna's first experience playing outside of Colombia and his debut in European football.
