The story · English

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced Tuesday the elimination of a Palestinian militant involved in the October 7th Hamas-led attack. Sahar Nadal Latifi Zakr, described as an operative in global jihad organizations operating in Gaza and a supplier of weapons to Hamas during the war, was killed in an airstrike in the Nuseirat area on Saturday.

Zakr was identified as the motorcyclist seen abducting Nova music festival attendees Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or from Israeli territory into Gaza on October 7th. He was also reportedly involved in planning terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians in coordination with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad military wings, violating the ceasefire.

The joint operation, which also involved Unit 33 of the Gideonim, aimed to neutralize the threat Zakr posed. Security forces remain deployed in the area and will continue to act against immediate threats, according to the statement.
