IDF Confirms Elimination of Terrorist Involved in Noa Argaman's Kidnapping
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency confirmed on Saturday, September 26, the elimination of Sahir Nidal Lotfi Sakr in the Nuseirat area of central Gaza. Palestinian sources had previously reported his death following an Israeli airstrike. According to the IDF and Shin Bet, Sakr was linked to global jihad organizations operating in Gaza and supplied Hamas with weapons during the recent conflict. He participated in the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, driving the motorcycle used to abduct Noa Argaman and Avinatan Orr from the Nova music festival. Israeli security forces claim Sakr had recently been involved with Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives in preparing attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians, thereby violating the ceasefire. The Israel Police identified Sahir Sakr as an Islamic State operative. The 'Gideonim 33' unit was involved in the operation to eliminate him.
Noa Argaman was initially kidnapped from the Nova festival alongside her partner Avinatan Orr. She was rescued on June 8, 2024, during Operation Arnon in Nuseirat, along with Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv. Avinatan Orr was released from captivity on October 13, 2025.
