IDF and Shin Bet Confirm Killing of Hamas Operative Involved in Noa Argaman's Abduction
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency have confirmed the elimination of Saher Nadal Latif Tzakker, an operative they identify as having been involved in the abduction of Noa Argaman and Avinatan Or on October 7, 2023. According to a joint statement released on September 27, 2026, the strike was carried out the previous day in the Nuseirat area by the IDF and Shin Bet, in cooperation with the "Gideonim 33" unit of the Lahav 433 special police unit. Tzakker was killed in an airstrike.
Israeli authorities claim Tzakker was an activist for global jihad organizations operating in Gaza and supplied Hamas with weapons during the war. They state that on October 7, he infiltrated Israeli territory and served as the motorcycle driver used to abduct Argaman and Or from the Nova music festival and transport them to Gaza. The IDF and Shin Bet further allege that Tzakker had recently been involved in planning attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians alongside Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad militants. The Israeli side also claims he systematically violated the ceasefire agreement.
