IDF Strikes Hezbollah Targets After Drone Attack on Southern Lebanon

In the early hours of Sunday, September 27, Hezbollah launched an attack drone towards Israeli soldiers operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon. No casualties were reported. In response, the Israeli Air Force conducted strikes against Hezbollah targets across several areas in southern Lebanon. The targeted sites included infrastructure used for launching attack drones and anti-tank missiles against Israeli forces, as well as other organizational assets. The IDF stated that any use of force from Lebanese territory against Israeli citizens or soldiers would be met with a "strong response." The military emphasized its continued adherence to the agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

Al-Mayadeen television, affiliated with Hezbollah, reported that Israeli artillery shelled targets in the areas of Zoutr al-Sharqiya, Mayfadoun, Zabkine, Kfar Moun, As-Salouqi, Beit Yahoun, and Ayta al-Jabal in southern Lebanon overnight. Israeli ground forces were active in the areas of Beit Yahoun, Barashit, Sarbin, and Zabkine. The Israeli Air Force also attacked targets in the regions of Kfar Tibnit and Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
