IDF Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon After Drone Attack
The Israeli military announced it conducted airstrikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon in response to a bomb-laden drone launched by the terror group towards Israeli forces. The drone attack, which occurred overnight Saturday, did not result in any casualties.
In retaliation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted several areas in southern Lebanon. The strikes hit sites used by Hezbollah operatives for launching explosive drones and anti-tank missiles against Israeli forces, as well as other terror infrastructure. The IDF stated that it will continue to act to neutralize immediate threats.
The military further emphasized that any use of force from Lebanese territory aimed at harming Israeli civilians or IDF forces will be met with a powerful response. The IDF also reiterated its commitment to the agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
