Israeli Striker Idoh Zeltzer-Zubida Signs Short-Term Deal with Inter Miami
Israeli forward Idoh Zeltzer-Zubida, 21, has signed a short-term contract with the Inter Miami first team after excelling with the club's reserve squad. The move makes him available for the upcoming match against Columbus Crew, where he could potentially debut alongside soccer superstar Lionel Messi.
Zeltzer-Zubida, son of Israeli media personality Nitzan Zubida, previously played in the youth systems of Hapoel Tel Aviv, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Maccabi Petah Tikva before moving to the United States. He made his debut for Inter Miami II in the 2024 season and became a prominent player.
In the 2025 season, he recorded 25 appearances for Inter Miami II, scoring four goals and providing seven assists. This current season has been a breakout year for him, leading the reserve team's scoring chart with ten goals and an additional assist.
The club described the agreement as a "short-term contract," a mechanism in Major League Soccer (MLS) that allows teams to temporarily promote players from their reserve teams to the senior squad for league games, U.S. Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions League, and other competitions. This presents a significant opportunity for Zeltzer-Zubida to prove himself at the highest level and potentially play alongside Lionel Messi.
