Kia Unveils PV7 Electric Van, Slated for Israeli Market in 2027

Kia is expanding its electric commercial vehicle lineup with the introduction of the larger PV7 van, following the PV5. The PV7 is anticipated to reach the Israeli market in 2027, with an even larger PV9 model planned for the future. The PV7 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5.35 meters in length, 1.99 meters in width, and 1.99 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 3.50 meters.

Initially, the van will be available in a closed commercial version with three seats, offering a cargo volume of 6,100 liters and a high-roof option of 8,000 liters. Its payload capacity is 1,165 kg, with a shorter version planned later with a 1,200 kg capacity. An open-bed variant will also be offered. Passenger versions will accommodate seven, nine, or up to eleven seats, particularly in Korea.

The electric powertrain features a 272 horsepower front-wheel-drive system, with all-wheel drive expected later. It utilizes an 800-volt architecture, offering battery options of 71.5 kWh or 96.2 kWh. The estimated range is up to 460 km (WLTP) for the long commercial version. Fast charging capabilities allow for a 20-minute charge from 10% to 80% using a 350 kW charger. The vehicle also supports V2L technology.

Interior features include 12.9-inch and 14.6-inch screens, remote automatic parking, surround sensors and cameras, a digital rearview mirror, a built-in dashcam, up to seven airbags, and advanced safety systems.
