Netflix Star Adam Brody Calls Gaza Conflict Genocide, Supports Free Palestine

Jewish-American actor Adam Brody, known for his role as a rabbi in the Netflix series "Uncoupled," has publicly stated his views on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza. In a recent interview with GQ magazine, Brody, despite his Jewish heritage, unequivocally sided with the Palestinians, accusing Israel of genocide and expressing his desire for a "free Palestine."

Brody, who is nominated for an Emmy in 2025 for his role in "Uncoupled," admitted that while he had discussed the war privately, he had not spoken about it extensively in public. When asked if he would be willing to address the issue more publicly, he responded, "Sign me up as someone who thinks it's genocide. Sign me up as someone who wants a free Palestine."

The third season of "Uncoupled," co-starring Kristen Bell, is set to premiere on Netflix on October 22. The series depicts the relationship between Noah, a gay, Reform Jewish rabbi played by Brody, and an agnostic woman named Joanne, played by Bell.

Brody also commented on political activism in Hollywood, suggesting that the industry has become more overtly conservative. He attributed this shift to factors such as groupthink, personal gain, financial incentives, and career success. He further stated that recent events, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the potential second term of Donald Trump, and the Israel-Gaza war, have revealed previously unrecognized and disappointing beliefs and opinions to him.
