Fauda Creator Slams Mark Ruffalo Over Gaza 'Genocide' Claims

Avi Issacharoff, co-creator of the popular Israeli television series "Fauda," has sharply criticized Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo for his repeated accusations that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Issacharoff called Ruffalo a "rare combination of ignorant and foolish" for his statements.

Issacharoff questioned Ruffalo's understanding of the term "genocide," pointing out that Israel allows hundreds of aid trucks into Gaza daily and that more people have been born in Gaza during the war than have died. He argued that these facts demonstrate Israel does not intend to destroy the Palestinian people, and that Hamas, not Israel, is the entity attempting genocide.

While Issacharoff expressed regret for his strong words, he admitted he was unsure if such criticism could sway those already convinced by Ruffalo's narrative. He suggested that something more significant would be needed to change their perspective.

Despite his frustration, Issacharoff maintained an optimistic outlook, citing his decision to live in Israel as proof. He expressed hope that people will eventually understand the reality better and resist falling prey to slogans, clichés, and falsehoods.
