Jewish Actor Adam Brody Calls Gaza War 'Genocide,' Supports Free Palestine

Adam Brody, known for his role as Rabbi Noah Ropkin in the Netflix series "The Other Two," has broken his silence on the Israel-Hamas war, expressing strong support for a "free Palestine" and labeling the conflict a "genocide." The comments were made in an interview with GQ ahead of the show's third season premiere on October 22.

Brody stated, "Sign me up as someone who wants a free Palestine. I think it's genocide." He reflected on recent global events, including the pandemic, the Trump administration, and the war in Gaza, suggesting they revealed and disappointed him with certain beliefs. He noted that while he discussed these issues privately, he had not spoken about them publicly until now.

Brody also expressed hope for a change in leadership, suggesting that "another leadership" could "do some good and fix some of the policies that are helping to make this situation as terrible as it is." His character in "The Other Two" is a rabbi who enters a relationship with a podcast host, played by Kristen Bell, and whose family navigates her conversion to Judaism.

Separately, Marvel star Florence Pugh also addressed the conflict in an interview with Vanity Fair, questioning the delay in public empathy and stating, "I have never been scared to support Palestine." She described the ongoing suffering as terrible to witness while other aspects of life continue.
