Adam Brody Calls Gaza War 'Genocide,' Supports 'Free Palestine'

Jewish-American actor Adam Brody, star of the Netflix hit series "Nobody Wants This," has publicly stated his view on the war in Gaza, calling it "genocide" and declaring his support for a "free Palestine." In a recent interview with GQ magazine, Brody, who plays a rabbi in the show, discussed his political activism and his observations about Hollywood's political landscape.

Brody expressed disappointment with the differing beliefs and opinions he encountered during the period encompassing the COVID-19 pandemic, a potential second Trump term, and the conflict between Israel and Gaza. He noted that while he has discussed the war extensively in private, he has spoken about it less publicly until now.

When directly asked about his stance, Brody stated, "Count me as someone who thinks it's genocide. Count me as someone who wants a free Palestine." The actor, known for his role in "The O.C.," is married to actress Leighton Meester. His current series, "Nobody Wants This," is set to premiere its third season on Netflix on October 22nd. Brody was also nominated for an Emmy Award in 2025 for his role in the show.
