Jewish Star Adam Brody Calls Gaza Conflict 'Genocide'

Adam Brody, star of the Netflix series "The Other Two," has broken his silence on the Israel-Gaza conflict, calling it "genocide" in a recent interview with GQ. Brody, who plays a rabbi in the show, expressed his support for a "free Palestine" and voiced hope for a different Israeli leadership to "fix some of the policies that are helping to make this situation as terrible as it is."

The actor's comments come ahead of the third season of "The Other Two," set to premiere on Netflix on October 22. Brody stated that while he has discussed the issue privately, he has largely refrained from speaking publicly about it until now. He reflected on how recent global events, including the pandemic, the Trump presidency, and the conflict, have revealed differing beliefs he wasn't previously aware of.

Brody's remarks were echoed by Marvel star Florence Pugh, who, in an interview with Vanity Fair, questioned why it took so long for people to express empathy. She stated, "I have never been scared to support Palestine. It is truly awful to watch so much pain when so much of our lives just keep moving forward."

In "The Other Two," Brody portrays Rabbi Noah Roklov, who enters an unexpected romance with a podcast host played by Kristen Bell. The series explores the impact of their relationship on their families as the host becomes exposed to Noah's culture and decides to convert to Judaism.
