Jewish Star Adam Brody Calls Gaza Conflict 'Genocide'

Adam Brody, star of the Netflix series "The Other Two," has broken his silence on the Israel-Gaza conflict, expressing strong support for a "free Palestine" and calling the situation "genocide." Brody, who plays a rabbi in the show, made these remarks in a recent interview with GQ, ahead of the third season's premiere on October 22.

Brody stated, "Sign me up as someone who wants a free Palestine. It's terrible that it took so much death and suffering, but it feels like it's reaching a breaking point that should have come a long time ago." He also expressed hope for a different leadership in Israel that could "do some good and fix some of the policies that are helping to make this situation as terrible as it is."

The actor revealed he had discussed the issue privately but had not spoken about it publicly until now. He noted that the period encompassing the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump's second term, and the Israel-Gaza conflict had revealed "different beliefs" he wasn't aware of and subsequently disappointed him.

In a separate interview with Vanity Fair, Marvel star Florence Pugh also commented on the conflict, stating, "I don't know why it's taken so long for people to start talking and for people to actually start feeling empathy. I've never been scared to support Palestine. It's truly awful to watch so much pain when so much of our lives just keep moving forward."
