Toddler Hospitalized After Ingesting Toxic Substance in Jerusalem
A toddler approximately two years old was moderately injured on Friday after accidentally drinking turpentine from a bottle in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Mea Shearim. Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah responded to the scene and provided the toddler with initial medical assistance. He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where his condition is described as moderate.
Brothers and United Hatzalah paramedics Avrimi and Tzvi Rozovsky, along with Meir Zander, reported on the incident. "When we arrived at the scene, the family told us that the toddler had accidentally drunk turpentine from a bottle," they stated. "We provided him with initial aid, and he was then evacuated to the hospital with his condition defined as moderate."
