Toddler Hospitalized After Ingesting Turpentine in Jerusalem
A two-year-old toddler was taken to the hospital in moderate condition on Friday morning after reportedly ingesting turpentine from a bottle at his home in the Mea Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem. Family members told emergency responders that the child accidentally drank the substance.
Medical teams from United Hatzalah were dispatched to the scene and provided initial treatment. The toddler was then transported for further care at the hospital.
Paramedics Avrimi and Tzvi Rozovsky, along with Meir Zander, described the incident, stating, "When we arrived at the scene, the family told us that the toddler accidentally drank turpentine from a bottle. We provided him with initial assistance, and then he was evacuated to the hospital with his condition defined as moderate."
