Israeli Basketball Player Idan Zalmanson Signs with Maccabi Rishon LeZion
Basketball player Idan Zalmanson is set to leave Hapoel Holon and sign with Maccabi Rishon LeZion, marking his return to the latter club. Zalmanson, a center for the Israeli national team, played for Hapoel Holon last season but is expected to depart the "Purple" club to rejoin the "Oranges."
Zalmanson, who had a contract for another season with Holon, will embark on his second stint with Maccabi Rishon LeZion, signing a one-year deal. As part of the transfer agreement, Rishon LeZion will cover Zalmanson's entire salary.
The 31-year-old center becomes the fourth Israeli player to join Rishon LeZion this summer. The team has already signed Ron Tzifer, Or Cornelius, and Michael Brisker, with Zalmanson anticipated to join them upon completion of the transfer.
Last season, Zalmanson averaged 7.8 points, 2.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game in 17.6 minutes of play.
