Israeli Basketball Player Idan Zalmanson Signs with Maccabi Rishon LeZion
Israeli national team center Idan Zalmanson is set to sign with Maccabi Rishon LeZion after leaving Hapoel Holon. Zalmanson, 31, played for Hapoel Holon for the past two seasons and is returning to Rishon LeZion for a second stint with the club, signing a one-year contract. Rishon LeZion will cover his full salary as part of the transfer.
Zalmanson is expected to be the fourth Israeli player signed by Rishon LeZion this summer. The team has already acquired Ron Zipper, Or Cornelius, and Michael Brisker. Zalmanson's move is contingent on the completion of the transfer.
Last season, Zalmanson averaged 7.8 points, 2.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game in 17.6 minutes played for Hapoel Holon. He had one more year remaining on his contract with Holon.
