Jerusalem Police Seal Three Apartments Used for Prostitution

Jerusalem police have sealed three apartments in different neighborhoods of the city that were allegedly used for prostitution. The operation was carried out by officers from the Jerusalem Central Operations Unit and municipal police, who also detained several women suspected of providing sex services. These women were subsequently transferred to social services for assistance and support.

Following the investigation, the Commander of the Jerusalem District Police, Avshalom Peled, issued administrative orders to close the apartments for 30 days. Municipal police posted notices on the properties on Thursday.

The police stated their commitment to continuing the fight against establishments offering sex services and identifying individuals involved in human trafficking and pimping. "We will use all available legal and operational tools to stop this activity," said Yossi Amoyal, head of the investigative department of the Jerusalem Central Operations Unit.

Amoyal also reminded the public that purchasing sex services is illegal in Israel and carries fines. First-time offenders face a 2,000 shekel fine, with a second offense within three years resulting in a 4,000 shekel fine.
