Jerusalem Police Shut Down Three Apartments Used for Prostitution

Jerusalem police have closed three apartments used for prostitution services in the city for 30 days under administrative orders. The operation, conducted by the Jerusalem District Police and the Municipal Police, also led to the detention of several women suspected of providing sexual services. These women were transferred for welfare services and support.

Commander of the Jerusalem District, Superintendent Asher Fuld, signed the administrative orders to close the apartments. The operation is part of a broader effort by law enforcement to combat prostitution and human trafficking.

Superintendent Yossi Amoyal, head of the interrogation department in the Jerusalem District Police, stated, "We are waging a determined and uncompromising war against places used for providing sexual services, with the aim of eradicating the phenomenon and reaching those involved in trafficking women and inciting prostitution." He added that police would continue to use all legal and operational tools to combat the issue.

Police reminded the public that consuming sexual services is a criminal offense punishable by a fine.
