Rebbe Descends Eight Floors on Foot to Avoid Displacing Arab Workers

A heartwarming video captured the Rebbe of Dushinsky, Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai Alter, choosing to walk down eight flights of stairs rather than displace Arab laborers from an elevator. The incident occurred on Thursday when the Rebbe visited a wealthy follower residing in a penthouse apartment on the eighth floor of a building.

Upon entering the elevator, the Rebbe found it occupied by Arab workers. Seeing that they were prepared to exit to make room for him, he insisted they remain inside. He then chose to descend the entire building on foot, accompanied by the workers who were impressed by his humility and respect.
