Belz Rebbe to Relocate Seat for High Holidays to Ease Crowding

Ahead of the upcoming High Holidays and days of mercy and forgiveness, a historic change is being implemented in the main prayer hall of the Belz Hasidic community in Jerusalem. The Rebbe of Belz will move his prayer location to a specially constructed elevated platform situated on the steps of the Holy Ark.

This significant alteration aims to alleviate crowding and improve the flow of worshippers within the large prayer hall at Kiryat Belz. The decision follows extensive consideration and is seen as a major adjustment for the community's traditional prayer arrangements.

Rabbi Yechiel Michel Frier, a close aide to the Rebbe, visited the site to oversee the final stages of the platform's construction. He received a blessing for the endeavor from the Grand Rabbi of Belz before commencing his inspection. The move is expected to be in place for the upcoming Jewish holidays.
