IDF Demolishes Home of Palestinian Suspected of Murdering Israeli Teen
The Israeli military demolished the home of a Palestinian suspect accused of murdering 18-year-old Yehuda Sherman in the West Bank village of Beit Ur al-Tahta on March 21. Palestinian reports indicated the demolition occurred overnight.
According to the indictment filed in May, the suspect, Duas Hassoun, learned that Israelis were traveling toward his village. He then drove his pickup truck to a location near the road leading to the village and waited. When he spotted three Israelis in an SUV, he pursued them and intentionally rammed their vehicle with his own, causing it to crash down a cliff.
Sherman was killed in the crash, and another person was injured. Hassoun is accused of murder and causing the deaths of others. The IDF has not yet officially commented on the demolition.
