IDF Demolishes Home of Terrorist Who Killed Israeli Man
The Israeli military on Thursday, September 24, demolished the home of Duas Hassoun, a terrorist responsible for a deadly attack on March 21, 2026, that killed Yehuda Sherman and injured another Israeli citizen. The operation took place in the village of Beit Imrin, north of Nablus (Shechem). Special engineering forces from the "Yael" unit and reconnaissance soldiers from the Nachal Brigade were involved in the demolition. Video footage indicated that the military detonated the ground floor living quarters, though the building largely remained standing.
According to the indictment, Hassoun learned on March 21, 2026, that Israeli citizens were heading towards his village. He then drove his pickup truck to a road leading to Beit Imrin and waited. Upon spotting three Israelis in a Ranger vehicle, he pursued them. When the vehicle slowed near a steep slope, Hassoun intentionally rammed the rear of their car at high speed. The impact caused the vehicle to fall off the cliff, ejecting the passengers. This resulted in Sherman's death and injuries to another passenger.
