El Al, Israel's national airline, has extended its Diamond loyalty program until February 28, 2027, providing frequent flyers with an additional two months to accumulate points under current regulations. The program was originally slated to conclude on December 31, 2026. This extension is particularly significant for passengers aiming to achieve or maintain a specific status within the loyalty club.
The decision comes as El Al transitions its loyalty program to a new credit card system, FLY CARD. While the current point accumulation rules will remain in effect through the extended period, the airline has not yet detailed the conditions that will apply after February 2027. The extension does not include automatic status upgrades, new benefits, or changes to existing point accrual rules.
This shift coincides with El Al's new credit card partnership with Isracard, which began in April 2026. The airline's previous collaboration with KAL will conclude at the end of 2026. Holders of KAL FLY CARDs can continue earning points until December 31, 2026, with all previously accumulated points and Diamond status remaining valid according to existing program terms.
