El Al's FLY CARD Credit Program Moves to Isracard, Users Must Switch to Retain Benefits

El Al's FLY CARD, the airline's frequent flyer credit card, has recently transitioned from Cal to Isracard. This change requires current cardholders to actively switch to the new Isracard-issued FLY CARD to continue earning points, diamonds, and other loyalty benefits tied to El Al's frequent flyer club. Simply using the old card will no longer accumulate rewards under the program.

The FLY CARD allows users to convert everyday purchases into points redeemable for flights, upgrades, and other perks. Premium versions of the card also enable earning diamonds, which help elevate frequent flyer status. Despite the card issuer change, all previously accumulated points and diamonds remain valid in the frequent flyer account, provided users maintain activity by making purchases or flying with El Al.

The new FLY CARD offers enhanced benefits including increased point accrual on El Al flights, discounted bonus tickets, extra baggage allowance, a 50% discount on points flights on Tuesdays, reduced foreign currency transaction fees, and exclusive access to the FLYSTORE. Additionally, cardholders receive an annual 1+1 free flight ticket offer, a benefit unique to airline-affiliated cards.

FLY CARD is available in several variants, including standard and premium options, with different fees and accrual rates tailored to users’ travel frequency and spending habits. The American Express FLY CARD Premium holders will continue to receive uninterrupted service and benefits as Amex remains a strategic partner.

To switch, cardholders must complete a digital process via Isracard’s website or customer service. New members joining by July can earn a free El Al flight ticket after spending 10,000 NIS by November 30, 2026, with eligible destinations across Europe and nearby regions. From January next year, the annual 1+1 flight companion offer will become a permanent benefit.

El Al advises all FLY CARD users to verify their card status and switch promptly to avoid losing loyalty benefits. The transition underscores the importance of aligning credit card choice with travel habits to maximize rewards and privileges.
