Petah Tikva Municipality Ranks First in Israel for Resident Satisfaction and Trust
The Petah Tikva Municipality has achieved a leading position in Israel for resident satisfaction with local government performance, service equality, and public trust, according to the 2025 Social Survey released by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS). The survey indicates that 85% of Petah Tikva residents view the municipality's performance positively, a figure approximately 20% higher than the national average. Over the past decade, from 2015 to 2025, positive assessments of the municipality's performance among residents have surged by 24%, the most significant increase recorded among all local authorities in Israel during that period.
Furthermore, Petah Tikva ranked first nationally in the index of equality in service provision across all population groups. Seventy-seven percent of city residents believe municipal services are distributed fairly and equitably, an increase of 22% over the last decade and 11% above the national average. This places Petah Tikva ahead of major cities like Rishon LeZion (75%) and Tel Aviv-Yafo (71%).
Complementing these findings, the CBS data also positions Petah Tikva as the top-ranked municipality in Israel for public trust, with 91% of residents expressing confidence in the local authority, a 6% lead over the second-ranked city. This consistent upward trend over the years reflects broad public confidence in the municipality's leadership and the quality of services provided.
Mayor Rami Greenberg stated that the CBS data represents an expression of trust from Petah Tikva residents in the municipal efforts and the way the city operates for them. He highlighted that since he took office in late 2018, the focus has been on the resident, improving services, expanding accessibility, and ensuring equitable responses for all populations. Greenberg attributed the significant rise in resident sentiment and the top rankings to hard work, continuous investment, and listening to the public, pledging to continue improving and providing high-quality, equitable, and advanced municipal services.
