Worker Dies After Being Crushed by Iron Pallets in Factory Accident
A worker, approximately 40 years old, died on Wednesday following a severe workplace accident at a factory in Kiryat Gat. The incident occurred on Rehavat Ayir street when a large pallet of iron cages fell on the worker.
Emergency rescue teams, including United Hatzalah paramedics, were dispatched to the scene. They provided medical treatment and performed resuscitation efforts. Despite their attempts, they were forced to declare the worker deceased due to the critical injuries sustained.
One of the first responders, a United Hatzalah paramedic and deputy branch chief, stated that they were informed the worker was hit by a falling iron cage pallet. He added that medical treatment, including resuscitation, was administered, but unfortunately, the worker succumbed to his severe injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
