Worker Seriously Hurt After Four-Meter Fall Into Pit in Kiryat Bialik Factory
A workplace accident in Kiryat Bialik left a man in his 30s seriously injured after he fell into a pit about 4 meters deep at a factory. He was pulled out conscious but confused, according to the report.
MDA paramedics and medics arrived at the scene, gave him initial treatment, and evacuated him to Rambam Hospital in serious condition. Rescue crews said they first monitored the pit for toxic gases to protect both the rescuers and the trapped worker.
After the safety check, a firefighter descended into the pit, made initial contact with the man, and attached a special oxygen mask to provide clean air before the more complex extraction began. Senior MDA medic Gil Pasha said the worker was trapped and confused, was rescued with specialized equipment, received medical checks and first aid on site, and was taken to hospital in an intensive care ambulance, describing his condition as stable.
