Worker Dies After Heavy Object Falls on Him at Kiryat Gat Factory
A man in his 30s died on Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a heavy object while working at a factory in the Kiryat Gat industrial zone. Emergency medical services were called to the scene at approximately 2:00 PM.
Paramedics and EMTs from Magen David Adom (MDA) provided medical treatment to the unconscious worker. Despite resuscitation efforts, they were forced to declare his death shortly thereafter. "We were led in the factory to the man who lay unconscious after being hit by a heavy object during his work," said MDA volunteer doctor Dr. Kobi Fixler and MDA motorcycle unit EMT Yaar Lasri. "We began performing resuscitation actions, including chest compressions, ventilation, and administering medication, after which we unfortunately had to determine his death."
The incident occurred during the victim's workday, and the specific nature of the object and the circumstances leading to the accident are under investigation.
