Palestinian Arrested for Inciting Terrorism, Sharing Graphic Image

Israeli police have arrested a Palestinian man, approximately 50 years old, on suspicion of inciting and supporting terrorism through social media posts. Authorities stated that the man published material calling for terrorist activities, including a doctored image of an Israeli soldier with a bullet aimed at her head. The arrest followed the discovery of these online posts.

Following the identification of the incriminating content, IDF forces and the Judea and Samaria Border Police conducted a raid on the suspect's home in the Palestinian village of Nazla al-Sharqiya. He was apprehended and taken for interrogation by the Samaria District's crime-fighting unit.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect not only shared calls for terrorism but also expressed admiration for terrorist organizations and their actions. His posts included threats against Israelis, with one message stating, "By Allah, we will defeat them, make their women widows and their children orphans. By Allah, we will drive them out humiliated, as they came to this land humiliated." He later posted the altered image of the soldier with the caption, "Your prayers for her are in the expanses of her hell."

Further posts by the suspect praised militants and perpetrators of mass killings, encouraging others to follow their path. After his interrogation, the man was taken into custody, and police intend to seek an extension of his detention for further investigation when he appears in court.

The Israel Police emphasized their ongoing efforts to combat incitement and support for terrorism both online and in public spaces. "Israel Police will continue to act decisively against anyone who tries to inflame the situation, glorify terrorists, and incite violence," a police statement read.
