Two Jaffa Residents Charged in August Murder of Ahmad Shaqra
Police have filed a statement of intent to indict two residents of Jaffa, both in their twenties, in connection with the August 28, 2026, shooting death of 28-year-old Ahmad Shaqra. Shaqra was riding a bicycle in Jaffa when a Grand Cherokee vehicle arrived, and a suspect emerged, firing multiple shots before fleeing. Shaqra was critically injured and later died at Wolfson Hospital.
Central District investigators apprehended the two suspects within hours of the incident, utilizing advanced investigative techniques and technology. During the arrests, one suspect was found in possession of a loaded handgun, and the vehicle believed to have been used in the crime was recovered. Police stated that evidence gathered during the investigation linked the suspects to the murder.
