Suspect Arrested in Fatal Jaffa Shooting

Police in Jaffa are investigating the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man on Rubinstein Street on the evening of September 15. Responding officers found the victim with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Wolfson Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. A large police contingent and forensic experts secured the scene, collected evidence, and launched an extensive search for suspects. District Police Commander Major General Haim Saragrof and Ayalon District Commander Brigadier General Dani Hadad assessed the situation. The investigation has been assigned to the Tel Aviv District's Central Investigation Unit. Shortly after, police announced the arrest of a suspect, a man in his early 20s, who was taken to the Central Investigation Unit for further questioning.

This incident follows two previous shootings in Jaffa. In June, two teenagers were wounded in a shooting on a central street, with one of them, Jaffa resident Ahmed Jabari, succumbing to his injuries shortly after being hospitalized at Wolfson. In August, another shooting occurred in Jaffa, leading to the apprehension of a suspect by patrolling officers.
