Palestinian Authority Activist Arrested in West Bank on Terrorism Suspicion
Border Police officers, guided by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), arrested a Palestinian Authority (PA) activist from the village of Qaryut in the Samaria region of the West Bank overnight. The suspect is believed to have been involved in promoting terrorist activities against Israeli security forces.
During the operation, forces entered the village covertly and proceeded to a compound where the suspect was located. They surrounded the building and employed a "pressure cooker" procedure, a tactic used to compel a suspect to surrender. Following the procedure, the suspect emerged from the structure and surrendered to the officers.
The arrested individual was subsequently transferred to the Shin Bet for further investigation and processing.
