Palestinian Security Official Arrested by Israeli Forces Suspected of Terrorism
Israeli undercover forces, known as "Mista'arvim," arrested a senior official in the Palestinian Preventive Security Service in the West Bank village of Qaryut on Tuesday night. The Palestinian reported that the detainee is Majdi Amer, whose rank is equivalent to a lieutenant colonel. Israeli police stated that the arrested individual is a Fatah operative suspected of promoting terrorist activities against security forces.
The operation, guided by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), targeted Amer in his compound. The Mista'arvim surrounded the building and employed a "pressure cooker" procedure, leading the suspect to emerge and surrender. He was subsequently transferred to the Shin Bet for further investigation.
