Jerusalem Offers Free Parking for Full Week During Sukkot Holiday
Jerusalem's municipality announced on Wednesday that parking in blue-and-white marked spots throughout the city will be free of charge for the entire intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday. The free parking period will commence on Sunday, September 27, 2026, and conclude on Friday, October 2, 2026. This initiative aims to benefit residents and visitors planning to be in the capital during the holiday.
The municipality clarified that the exemption from payment does not apply to parking violations. The city will enforce parking regulations and issue tickets or tow vehicles in cases of dangerous or obstructive parking that endangers the public.
