Jerusalem Offers Free Parking for Full Week During Sukkot Holiday

Jerusalem's municipality announced a significant benefit for residents and visitors, declaring that all blue-and-white marked parking spots throughout the city will be free of charge for an entire week. This initiative coincides with the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday, known as Chol HaMoed.

The free parking period will commence on Sunday, September 27, 2026, and conclude on Friday, October 2, 2026. The municipality clarified that this exemption from payment does not apply to parking violations. Drivers who park illegally, endanger the public, or create safety hazards will still be subject to fines and potential vehicle towing, in accordance with the municipality's authority.
