Pro-Israel Activist Youssef Haddad Receives Death Threats After Iranian Blacklisting

Youssef Haddad, a prominent pro-Israel advocacy activist and candidate for the 'Am Israel' party, reported receiving explicit death threats via email on Tuesday evening. The messages, which appear to originate from Iran, contain violent language, stating, "We will cut off your fingers one by one and dismember your bodies along with the Americans. We are the people of war. To hell with you." The style and content of the emails suggest a connection to the Iranian regime.

Haddad's inclusion on a recent list published by Iran's Ministry of Intelligence, which prohibits Iranian citizens from contacting individuals deemed hostile to the state, is believed to be the catalyst for the threats. Haddad is listed as the second candidate on the 'Am Israel' party's slate.

In response, Haddad stated, "The Iranian regime has never been more predictable. I also receive explicit murder threats on social media. This did not frighten me in the past and does not frighten me today; on the contrary, it strengthens me. I will continue to act for the State of Israel and for Israeli society." He concluded with a defiant Arabic proverb, "Go pave the sea," directed at his adversaries.

Haddad has been an active voice in advocating for Israel, particularly on social media, and has previously participated in counter-demonstrations.
