Arab Israeli Politician Youssef Haddad Receives Death Threats

Youssef Haddad, the second candidate on the 'Am Echad Israel' party list, is facing severe death threats following his decision to join a Zionist political party. Haddad, an Arab Israeli, has reported receiving direct threats to his life on social media, with one user writing, "Your day will come and we will see who gets murdered."

In parallel with the personal threats, a prominent party billboard near Shfaram featuring Haddad alongside Ofer Winter was vandalized. The sign was defaced with the words "Haddad the traitor."

The 'Am Echad Israel' party stated that this marks a serious escalation in incitement and threats directed at Haddad. They believe extremists within the Arab community fear the message the party brings, which aims to focus on Israeli Arab towns rather than Palestinian cities.

Haddad responded to the threats, stating, "The extremists in Arab society are afraid of the message that the 'Am Echad Israel' party brings, and rightly so. They do not want a party that will care for Nazareth, Shfaram, and Rahat, but again Ramallah, Jenin, and Gaza. Who am I betraying? My country? My society? If they think their threats and incitement will deter me or stop me, they are greatly mistaken. We will continue with all our might and bring two mandates from Arab society, despite the extremists."

Party chairman, retired Major General Ofer Winter, condemned the threats, calling the incitement against Haddad dangerous. He affirmed that 'Am Echad Israel' and he himself stand with Haddad in his mission to explain Israel globally and will not allow anyone to harm or threaten his life.
