Arab Israeli Activist Joseph Haddad Receives Death Threats Linked to Iran

Joseph Haddad, a prominent Arab Israeli advocate and second-ranked candidate for the Am Israel party, reported receiving explicit death threats via email on Tuesday. The party assesses that the threats originate from elements connected to the Iranian regime, citing the content and style of the messages. One email reportedly stated, "We will cut off your fingers one by one and dismember your bodies along with the Americans. We are the people of war. To hell with you."

The threats follow a recent publication by Iran's Ministry of Intelligence, which listed individuals deemed hostile to Israel and prohibited from contact by Iranian citizens. Haddad appeared prominently on this list.

Haddad responded to the threats, stating they would not deter him from his advocacy. "The Iranian regime has never been more predictable, I also receive explicit death threats on social media," he said. He added that similar past threats had not intimidated him and that the current ones strengthen his resolve to continue working for Israel and Israeli society.

Addressing the senders, Haddad quoted a well-known Arabic proverb: "Go pave the sea," implying their threats are futile.
