Israeli Activist Yosef Haddad Receives Death Threats, Vows to Continue Work

Yosef Haddad, an Israeli public diplomacy activist and candidate for the 'Am Israel' party, received explicit death threats via email on Tuesday. One message sent to him stated, "We will cut off your fingers one by one and dismember your bodies along with the Americans. We are people of war. To hell with you." The 'Am Israel' party suggested that the content and style of the messages indicate a connection to the Iranian regime, although the identity of the senders has not been confirmed.

The threats follow a recent publication by Iran's Ministry of Intelligence listing individuals deemed hostile to Israel, with whom Iranian citizens are forbidden to interact. Haddad, ranked second on the 'Am Israel' party list, was prominently featured on this list.

Haddad addressed the threats, stating, "The Iranian regime has never been more predictable. I also receive explicit death threats on social media. This did not frighten me in the past and does not frighten me today; on the contrary, it strengthens me." He added, "I will continue to work for the State of Israel and for Israeli society. And to the enemies who threaten from Iran to Gaza, I convey the well-known Arabic proverb: 'Go pave the sea.'"

Haddad is known for his public diplomacy efforts, aiming to counter negative narratives about Israel.
