Toddler Injured After Sukkah Structure Falls in Bnei Brak
A one-year-old baby girl sustained moderate injuries in her Bnei Brak home on Malachi Street after a heavy object fell on her during sukkah construction. Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah in the Central District responded quickly to the scene and provided initial medical treatment.
According to her family, a wooden plank fell on the infant's head from a height of approximately 2.5 meters while the sukkah was being built. Responders provided medical care at the scene before she was evacuated by a United Hatzalah ambulance to the trauma room at Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in Petah Tikva, with her condition described as moderate.
The incident occurred within a Haredi family's home. The wooden plank reportedly fell from the "boydem" area inside the house as boards were being lowered in preparation for the holiday.
Following the unfortunate incident, United Hatzalah is urging the public to adhere to necessary safety precautions during sukkah construction and holiday preparations to prevent unnecessary tragedies.
