Toddler Injured by Falling Wood Panel During Sukkah Construction
A one-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries when a wooden panel fell on her head while her family was building a sukkah in Bnei Brak. The incident occurred on Malachi Street when the panel, reportedly falling from a height of approximately 2.5 meters, struck the toddler.
Medical teams from the United Hatzalah organization responded to the scene. Volunteers provided initial medical treatment before transporting the child via ambulance to the trauma unit at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva. Her condition was described as moderate.
Following the incident, United Hatzalah urged the public to adhere to safety precautions during sukkah construction and preparations for the Sukkot holiday to prevent similar accidents.
