Man Critically Injured After Sukkah Thatch Falls on Him in Bnei Brak
A 62-year-old man sustained serious injuries when bundles of Sukkah thatch fell on him from a height while he was working on Rabbi Gurevich Street in Bnei Brak on Friday. Emergency responders from Hatzalah and Magen David Adom provided initial medical treatment.
The incident occurred in the morning hours as the man was preparing for the upcoming Sukkot holiday. The thatch bundles, which fell from a significant height, caused head and back injuries. "When we arrived at the scene, we found a 62-year-old man suffering from head and back injuries after being hit by Sukkah thatch bundles that fell on him from a height," said Magen David Adom paramedic Menachem Indig. "Together with paramedics from Hatzalah and MDA, we provided him with initial medical treatment, including stabilization and bandaging."
The injured man was evacuated by Magen David Adom ambulance in stable condition to the trauma room at Sheba Medical Center in Tel HaShomer, where hospital teams continued advanced medical treatment.
