A 37-year-old illegal resident from Hawara is expected to be charged in Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court over a series of alleged sexual offenses at a well-known nightlife venue in central Tel Aviv. Police say he entered Israel without authorization and walked into the crowded club unnoticed.
According to the investigation, he was captured on video sexually assaulting a young woman who was there with friends. Security guards were called and removed him from the club, but police believe the incident did not end there.
Minutes later, investigators say, he targeted another victim outside the venue and committed another sexual offense against a passerby walking with a friend. The woman fled and called police, who arrested the suspect. Both complainants cooperated with investigators and gave statements.
The evidence gathered in the case has already led to a prosecutor’s declaration, paving the way for a formal indictment. Rsn. Sgt. Yoni Iluz, head of sexual offenses at Tel Aviv’s Lev police station, said, “This is a serious harm to women in the heart of Tel Aviv, his actions are simply cruel.” In a separate case, Tel Aviv District Police also said an investigation into another illegal resident who allegedly spied on a woman in a beach restroom has ended, and charges are expected there too.
