Travel Hotel Chain Exits Gesher HaZiv, Invests $30 Million in New Achziv Hotel

The Travel Hotel chain is concluding its 20-year operation at the Gesher HaZiv Hotel in northern Israel. The chain decided not to renew its lease agreement with Kibbutz Gesher HaZiv, and its operations at the hotel will cease at the end of October. Management of the Gesher HaZiv hotel will transfer to the "HaChof Shel Mush" group, with the kibbutz's agreement.

This departure is part of a broader strategic shift by the hotel chain to focus its investments in the region on a new project in Achziv. The company plans to invest approximately 30 million shekels (about $8 million USD) in renovating and establishing a new hotel there. This new facility will feature 76 rooms and is slated to open by the end of 2027.

Bat Chen, CEO and founder of the Travel Hotel chain, described the departure from Gesher HaZiv as significant after nearly two decades, calling it a "home for the chain." She expressed gratitude to Kibbutz Gesher HaZiv for their cooperation and trust.

Looking ahead, Chen stated the chain is excited about the new chapter in Achziv, viewing the 30 million shekel investment as a strong vote of confidence in the area's tourism potential. The chain wishes the "HaChof Shel Mush" group success at Gesher HaZiv and anticipates the opening of the new Achziv hotel in late 2027.

The new Achziv hotel aims to strengthen the chain's presence in the Western Galilee, aligning with its concept of integrating accommodation with nature and travel experiences.
